Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist/LPN

Hours of work:

CASUAL: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm when needed 

Job purpose: 

Work directly with patients by obtaining blood specimens through venipuncture and prepare specimens for transport and laboratory testing.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of the Medical Laboratory Assistant program or LPN Program
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position. 
• Good work record.
• Written and spoken competence in English is required 

Responsibilities: 

• Collecting, receiving and preparing specimens
• Registering patients, entering orders and providing information to patients
• Performing routine maintenance, decontamination, sterilizing and cleaning 
• Maintaining inventories 
• Providing general reception and
• Performing general office duties
