Hours of work:
CASUAL – Rotating three mornings one week and two the next. (Monday-Friday)
Job purpose:
Work directly with patients by obtaining blood specimens through venipuncture and prepare specimens for transport and laboratory testing.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of the Medical Laboratory Assistant program or LPN Program
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
- Written and spoken competence in English is required
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, receiving and preparing specimens
- Registering patients, entering orders and providing information to patients
- Performing routine maintenance, decontamination, sterilizing and cleaning
- Maintaining inventories
- Providing general reception and
- Performing general office duties
